This year’s line-up boasts the Film Noir Foundation’s restorations of WOMAN ON THE RUN and THE GUILTY, as well as film noir classics including GUN CRAZY, NIGHTMARE ALLEY, and more!
Hosted by the Czar of Noir himself, Eddie Muller, NOIR CITY Portland will present these films on beautiful 35mm prints!

Eddie Muller is a contemporary renaissance man. He is the founder and president of the Film Noir Foundation. He writes novels, biographies, movie histories, plays, short stories, and films. He also programs film festivals, curates museums, designs books, and provides commentary for television, radio, and DVDs. He has twice been named a San Francisco Literary Laureate, and his expertise in dark subject matter—both in fiction and film—has earned him the title “Czar of Noir.” Eddie also serves as one of Turner Classic Movies’ regular presenters of classic cinema, most recently hosting TCM’s “Summer of Darkness,” on Fridays prime time during June and July.
The Film Noir Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation created as an educational resource regarding the cultural, historical, and artistic significance of film noir as an original American cinematic movement.
