Come kick off the holidays with a multimedia extravaganza featuring Portland’s own Crime-A-Billy music creators, The Strange Tones and their sonic crime fighting partners, The Volcano Vixens! Known for their original, rootsy, and distinctly northwest sound, as well as their wildly entertaining live performances, the band has garnered many awards throughout the northwest, including an induction into the Hall of Fame by the Cascade Blues Association for Best Contemporary Band. After last year’s sell-out show, the band is excited to have their 2nd annual Christmas show at the Hollywood Theater. The 50’ screen, large stage, and plentiful seating provide the perfect setting for The Strange Tones to take you on a magical voyage with video, live music, dance, and other surprises.
Opening the show will be a special set by two of Portland’s finest musicians, Dave Fleschner and Alan Hager. The Strange Tones performance will include songs from their acclaimed “Crime-A-Billy Christmas” CD, with performances by The Volcano Vixens, and several special guest musicians: Jim Wallace, Chris Alexander, Randy Yearout, Jim Toussaint, Elvin Alfred Priesley, and Santa Claus. Beer and wine will be available for purchase within the auditorium as well as at the concession stand, and there will be room for dancing! And in the northwest spirit of looking after those in need, food donations will be encouraged and collected for the Oregon Food Bank.
This spirited event is sure to brighten your holiday! Don’t miss it!
