CISCO PIKE in 35mm

CISCO PIKE in 35mm

The  Grindhouse Film Festival presents a rare 35mm print of this 1972 existential cult classic. A tribute to Kris Kristofferson (1936-2024).

CISCO PIKE (1972) Kris Kristofferson stars as Cisco Pike; a musician who falls on hard times, and starts dealing drugs. When he gets busted by a crooked cop (Gene Hackman), he's blackmailed into selling off 100 kilos of marijuana in one weekend in order to get the charge dropped. With his drug-addled former bandmate (Harry Dean Stanton) in tow, Cisco hits the streets with his guitar case full of weed, and his soul swirling down the drain. Co-starring Karen Black and Doug Sahm.
