Getting To Know You(Tube)
is a project by local artists Crystal Baxley and Stefan Ransom that invites selected members of the Portland community to share their internet video interests with a larger audience.
The format of Getting to Know You(Tube) is simple. Presenters give 10-15 minute presentations using YouTube videos - these presentations can have a theme, a narrative thread, teach us how to do something or be completely nonsensical - as long as it utilizes YouTube. A brief Q&A session follows each presentation, and after all of the presentations are complete, there will be an open session where anyone in the audience will be free to share their own YouTube picks.
