Hot Type: 150 Years of The Nation

This year marks the 150th anniversary of The Nation , the oldest weekly magazine in the country. Oscar-winner Barbara Kopple’s new documentary, HOT TYPE: 150 YEARS OF THE NATION features intimate encounters with the writers, columnists, editors, and interns, who are custodians of The Nation ’s enduring values of dissent and stewards of its future. Susan Sarandon & Sam Waterston lend historical perspective to the film, which includes archival readings from past Nation contributors like Martin Luther King, Jr.

A lively Q&A with The Nation ‘s Washington Correspondent, John Nichols, and Executive Editor, Richard Kim, will follow the screening.
