Live! Throwing Shade & Jordan, Jesse, Go!

Saturday, September 12 at 7:00pm  |  $20  |

For one night only, two hilarious podcasts hit the Hollywood Theatre! On Saturday September 12 at 7pm, we’re hosting a double feature of two Maximum Fun Network shows: Throwing Shade starring Bryan Safi and Erin Gibson, and Jordan, Jesse, Go! starring Jordan Morris and Jesse Thorn!

Throwing Shade is a smart, hilarious and irreverent weekly podcast and web series, hosted by homosensual Bryan Safi and feminasty Erin Gibson. Every week, Bryan and Erin take a look at all the headlines in politics and pop culture, and treat them with much less respect than they deserve. It's just like a cocktail party with your smart, silly friends who can seamlessly connect a conversation about Miley Cyrus and weave it seamlessly into thoughts on Hillary's unconfirmed run for President. They can jump from "True Detective" to "The Bachelor" and in one breath explain how Drake is the Loretta Lynn of the R&B world. Throwing Shade is infotainment at its best, serving an audience that represents more than half of all living human beings who don't have a show that speaks directly to them. The AV Club calls them "equal opportunity offenders who lack any sort of filter" and Rolling Stone magazine put them on their list of "The 20 Best Comedy Podcasts" earlier this year. Throwing Shade is also a weekly web series produced and hosted by Will Ferrell's comedy website Funny or Die.

Jordan, Jesse, Go! is a freewheeling comedy podcast about life in your twenties and everything else. Your hosts are Jesse Thorn, "America's Radio Sweetheart," and Jordan Morris, "Boy Detective." The show is a hilarious mix of the intelligent, silly and profoundly vulgar. Jesse Thorn (NPR's Bullseye) and Jordan Morris (@midnight) sit down with an hilarious guest or two to talk about feelings, sex, culture and adult life.  Plus, they’ll discuss momentous occasions from audience members’ lives and maybe even challenge a fan’s knowledge of the ridiculous with an absurd battle of wits versus a guest. Whatever happens, it’s guaranteed to be a great time.

Tickets are only $20 for a night with four tremendously talented podcasters and their surprise special guests!
