Portland Horror Film Festival 2019 - Saturday

• Short Film Block 5
• TV Terrors with Mick Garris
• Short Film Block 6, filmmaker Q&A
• WORLD PREMIERE: THE FUNERAL, Q&A with Kunjue Li

This afternoon’s program serves up a selection of short films from around the world, featuring werewolves, lost children, gruesome transformations, macabre animation, and one of the funniest horror films we’ve ever seen. We’ll also be joined by special guest Ben Heller (IT). Films are different each night. Be sure to get a full festival pass if you want to see everything!

LIVE PRESENTATION WITH MICK GARRIS: Mick Garris has one of the most impressive writing and directing careers in horror history. He wrote for shows like Amazing Stories, created The Masters of Horror series, and wrote or directed more Stephen King adaptations than any other filmmaker, including THE STAND, SLEEPWALKERS, and RIDING THE BULLET.

THE FUNERAL: Horror films from China are a rare treat! Don’t miss the WORLD PREMIERE of this creepy, atmospheric, and slightly Lovecraftian horror film. Zhong Tonghiu, a young model, has recurring nightmares of her mother who committed suicide when she was a child. An unexpected invitation to the funeral of her wealthy and childless aunt connects her with a young man, Li Baile, and results in strange and unexplained occurrences. Q&A with actress Kunjue Li (Zhong Tonghiu).
