The Hollywood Theatre celebrates seven years of QUEER HORROR and Carla Rossi's birthday with THE LURE! Sponsored by Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery, this overdue anniversary is hosted by Portland’s premier drag clown and opens with an all-musical preshow!

Directed by Agnieszka Smoczynska and featuring music by Barbara & Zuzanna Wronska, THE LURE chronicles Silver and Golden (Marta Mazurek & Michalina Olszanska), two man-eating mermaids adopted by a washed-up lounge singer (Kinga Preis) to entertain at the sleaziest club in 1980s Warsaw. But when one of them falls in love with a human man, their victims won’t be the only ones ripped apart. Partially based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid," THE LURE is a surreal, frenetic, and gorgeously gory queer fantasy on rocking techno waves.
