Tag! Queer Shorts Festival 2021 — hollywoodtheatre.org

The 2021 edition of the Tag! Queer Shorts Festival arrives February 18-28 as a new Hollywood Theatre-sponsored program. This year’s festival features over 40 short films that acknowledge the range of emotions and experiences that mark the past year, feelings from isolation to joy that find special resonance within queer and trans communities. Tag! Queer Shorts Festival is especially committed to bringing QTBIPOC stories to the screen from around the world and is one of the few festivals that mixes the work of established creative teams with new creators and exclusively screens work by queer and trans-identifying filmmakers.

The festival will stream from 2/18 at 6:00pm to 2/28 at 11:59pm

A new shorts block will be available each day at 6:00pm from 2/18-2/21.

You will have 72 hours to watch a shorts block once you hit play. Be sure to allow enough time to finish watching before the stream ends for good on 2/28 at 11:59pm.

At the helm of transformation there lies a palpable link to celebration. As we traverse the difficulty of being a living being in the world that has been created, we, especially as queer folk, are capable of a tremendously colorful catharsis. These shorts remind us of the sometimes poetic, sometimes unimaginable ways in which we can reconnect to our strength, confidence and joy.
