The Hollywood Theatre premieres a new Signature Series, Foreign Affairs, with a 35mm screening of Henri-Georges Clouzot’s white-knuckle thriller, THE WAGES OF FEAR. Free for Hollywood Members!

THE WAGES OF FEAR (France, 1953): Trapped in a run-down, Latin American village, four vagabonds see their way out when an American fuel company offers them a healthy sum of cash for a quick job. The catch? They must transport two truckloads of explosive nitroglycerin across 300 miles of hazardous mountain roads.

Expertly constructed, and containing some of the most nerve-wracking sequences in the history of cinema, Clouzot’s parable of exploitation and greed won the Grand Prize at Cannes in 1953 and Best Film of 1954 by the British Film Academy.
