The Cameraman

Series: Pipe Organ Pictures

Organist Dean Lemire will be performing his original score on the Hollywood’s Mighty Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ.

Starring Buster Keaton and Marceline Day, this hilarious romantic comedy is Keaton at the peak of his career, and was the last film the “the great stoneface” would ever have complete artistic control over again.

After becoming infatuated with a pretty office worker for MGM Newsreels, Buster trades in his tintype operation for a movie camera and sets out to impress the girl (and MGM) with his work.

THE CAMERAMAN is #353 on the 1,000 Greatest Movies of All Time list from “They Shoot Pictures Don’t They?” and was added to the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress  in 2005 as being deemed “culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant.”
